Using Wired Networks

Wired networks form the building blocks of your computer systems and give you access to your servers. Wired networks can be made up of just a few connections.  Or at the other end of the scale wire networks can be made up of many thousands of connections.

Nash Computers offer a full design and installation service of all types of network infrastructure. We also manage and extend networks and monitor their performance to ensure your getting the best from your investment.

There are two common wired systems in use at the moment.  These systems use two different types of cable.  The two types of cable are Category 5 cabling allowing data speeds of up to 100Mbs (Megabit per second), and Category 6 1Gbs (1 Gigabit per second).  Category 6 cabled systems require different patch panels, network switches and so on achieve the higher network speeds. Optical Fibres are also used in some cases to provide large data pipes over extended distances or in circumstances where there’s a lot of electrical interference.

Well thought out plug in the wall wired networks provide rock solid fast data transfer between all the devices connected to it. Making sure enough outlets are created to make your network flexible is an important part of its design.  A well designed network will be long lasting, reliable, and low maintenance.

Overall a cabled network represents an excellent investment, and forms the very foundation for most systems requiring multiple connected devices.  Its solid performance and reliability make it an easy choice.
